We visited churches

and castles

and folk art museums ...

and artisans...this man was a tin smith, he made be a bracelet as a gift.

We got stuck in an autoban traffic jam for two hours and didn't even move. People got out of their cars and talked and walked around. Usually the autoban was cool because people were driving over 100 miles an hour...I guess it has two speeds -- stop or go!

Finally we got to Ricarda's mom's and dad's in Oberusel. We visited a Roman Fort, ate dinner at the Saxony House in Frankfurt, visited the new farm they are fixing up and enjoyed the city.

We took Rici with us to her apartment in Heidelberg. It was a great shopping city and she took me to her favorite ice cream shop.

Then we traveled to Susi's parents farm in Vahingen/Enz. It was grape harvesting time. The apple trees were full of fruit and it was very beautiful.

Then we went to Kaufbeuren and visited dad's friend Gerd. He took us to castles and churches and the Oktoberfest. The Oktoberfest was my favorite.

I made some friends with the Romans and Vikings.

We enjoyed Reinhold and Renata's new farm.

I raced mom up over 300 stairs to the top of the Castle in Heidelberg. I won.

we also saw the Alps and got into Austria a little ways.
