Put downs
are the worst thing anyone can do. It is worse than getting beat up because it
runs through your mind over and over kinda like a nightmare that won't go away.
When someone puts me down I get so mad. Most of the time it won't go away it
remains there and it is kinda like a fungus. It grows in your mind and gets
rooted in and stuck. Sometimes you start to believe the put downs THAT'S
BAD! I handle put downs in a # of ways I may snap or I may yell or I may just be like
Baby Gurl and act like a baby and cry. I have soft feelings but a rough look.
That is how I was raised to be. So think about what you say to peepz. Would you like it if someone said that to you???? And don't say :" ohh well
it wouldn't faze me" because deep inside that rough talk makes the inside
cry. Keep it 4-real and keep it kool. Don't do put downs. They are just
plain ol' rude.

When people hate on me
by racial comments or calling me ugly, wanna be, ho, can't rap, b---, you all
that, mutt -- it makes me angry. Sometimes I have a hard time controlling that
anger. It is something I struggle with and have to work on because my reactions
could hurt the group. I need to ask ya'll who hate - who gave you the right to
murder some bodies spirit - then kill their soul. That's what ya do with a put
down. STOP DOIN' THAT - I'M GONNA REACT!

want respect you have to give respect. Put downs are a problem for most teens
and I definitely have a problem when people put me down. I get very mad even
when the put downs aren't true. All haters want to do is get a reaction from you
and I try real hard not to react. I'm keeping it real cuz I know the Mo'Angels
will have haters but we won't trip cuz we are trying to do something wit' our
lives. We are tryin' to make a difference for other teens. We go through the
same things every other teen goes through and probably worse than a lot of you.
Our lives are not preachy. Just because our pictures look like we are livin' it
up and we're smilin' and all happy -- well it's not like that. So stop hatin'
and join us in makin' a difference. It's gonna take our whole generation!.
